"We will never forget" South African Tales of a Trek to Palestine

The Africa 1 Aid convoy that journeyed through Africa en route to Palestine this year, proved to be a major success. A pioneer of its kind in the country, the Al-Quds humanitarian project aimed to spread the message of Islam and create awareness about Palestinian issues across the continent, before crossing over into Gaza to attend to the basic needs of Palestinians. The project was met with gratitude by the locals who requested that A1A members bid salaam to all of South Africa.

Sharing tales of their remarkable experiences, members of the convoy will be present at the next MSA of the Cape and Youth for Al-Quds Foundation event, We Will Never Forget.

This event will be held on Friday 14th October, after Maghrib (at 19:15) in the Habibia Soofi Mosque hall.

    The Ottoman Empire - Review

The MSA of the Cape recently hosted a seminar titled The Ottoman Empire – Its Rise and Fall, with the renowned historical Greek researcher, Stef Keris, as guest speaker. Keris, also known as Abu Yasir, dedicated his life’s work to researching and disseminating the historical truths of the Ottoman Turks, during their six century-long reign across the East and West. His lecture presented core facts and findings amidst a plethora of misleading ones regarding the topic. For most, it was informative and appeasing – except for a few nationalist Turks who felt, and blatantly stated, otherwise.
