Intro to Thul Hijjah
Shaikhul Islam Hazrath Fareedudeen (R.A.) states, that on the first night of Zil Hijjah read 2 rakaats of Nafil Salaah. In the first rakaat after Surah Fateha read the first 3 verses of Surah In-aam. In the second rakaat after Surah Fateha read Surah Ikhlaas, once. The reward of one Hajj will be granted to the person who reads this Salaah. Sayedina Baba Fareed  states that a person who was a great sinner passed away. People who were aware of his state were afraid as to what punishment would be metered out to him in the grave. The night of his passing, a pious man dreamt of him, and questioned him as to how Allah S.W.T had dealth with him. He replied to the pious man that when people had buried me and left, the angels of punishment had started to appear in my grave, and as they were about to punish me, Allah ordered them to leave me alone, He had forgiven me. The angels wanted to know from Allah as to what the reason was that He had forgiven me, for I was a great faasiq (sinner), how can I be entitled to paradise. Allah said to his angels that indeed what you have said about him being a sinner is true, however when the month of Zil Hijjah dawned upon him, on the first night of Zil Hijjah he used to recite this Salaah. For reciting this Salaah, I have forgiven all his sins.
Intro to Hajj
"On this day, I have perfected for you your religion, completed My favours upon you and chosen  for you Islam as your way of life." Surah 5, Verse 4
On the day of `Arafah, the year before Sayyiduna Rasoolullah SAW passed away, he delivered his farewell sermon at `Arafah, which combined all the laws and rulings of Islam. Allah SWT revealed the above verse at the same time and the last laws of Hajj also came down.
History of Wahhabism
British Channel 4´s Dispatches has produced a scathing documentary, called Undercover Mosque, about the negative influence of Saudi Arabia, through its promotion of Wahhabism, among the Muslim community of Britain. But the video is clear to point out that, "Wahhabism is opposed to the traditional tolerant beliefs of classical Islam". What the video does not cover, however, is that the spread of the Wahhabi interpretation of Islam is part of a larger Western agenda, involving the CIA, to denigrate Islam.
The Power of the Kalima
Our Beloved Nabee Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam came, holding the flag of Islam in his hand, and bearing a motto of which the very first word was "La" (No!). That one word - "La" - at the very beginning of the testimony contains the whole destructive but also the entire constructive power that Islam came out with in the shape of a glorious revolution. The question that arises: Why did Islam appear first with a word such as "La" (No)?
The Esteemed Presence of The Holy Prophet (Peace and salutations of Allah be upon Him)
There is a hadith where the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Allah has angels traveling about the earth to convey to me the salaams of my ummah." [An-Nasaai]
Can you please explain this hadith to me in relation to a salafi scholar's statement that "....this hadith informs us that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) himself does not travel the earth to attend the gatherings where he is mentioned. Such un-Islamic beliefs have unfortunately found their way into the Bidat (innovations) that have been introduced into the religion.....".....
"We will never forget" South African Tales of a Trek to Palestine
The Africa 1 Aid convoy that journeyed through Africa en route to Palestine this year, proved to be a major success. A pioneer of its kind in the country, the Al-Quds humanitarian project aimed to spread the message of Islam and create awareness about Palestinian issues across the continent, before crossing over into Gaza to attend to the basic needs of Palestinians. The project was met with gratitude by the locals who requested that A1A members bid salaam to all of South Africa.
Sharing tales of their remarkable experiences, members of the convoy will be present at the next MSA of the Cape and Youth for Al-Quds Foundation event, We Will Never Forget.
This event will be held on Friday 14th October, after Maghrib (at 19:15) in the Habibia Soofi Mosque hall.
