    Dar al-Mahamid's Annual Summer Festival 2011

    The festive season is quickly approaching and whilst for many, this symbolises a holy and spiritual time of the year, we are also aware that it is a time in which many fall prey to the various ubiquitous vices within modern society.

    In an attempt to safeguard and contribute to the progression of our community, Dar al-Mahamid will, for the 2nd year running, host our annual Summer Festival.

    Dar al-Mahamid is pleased to announce our annual Summer Festival 2011... Spend your new years with us and come and experience all the fun we have installed, whilst still keeping your booking in Jannah!!!
     
    The 2011 Summer Festival will be hosted in Retreat at both Masjid al-Munowar and the adjacent Allenby Drive Sports Field, from Friday 30th of December to Sunday, 1st of January2012.

    Among the Stars - The Companions of the Prophet

    Dar al-Mahamid will be hosting an exciting course on the lives of the Sahabah R.A, wherein we may glimpse into the lives of the guiding stars of this nation, the best of people and the most beloved family and friends of Nabi Muhammad SAW. The course will run weekly by various well known scholars of Islam, at the Masjid al-Munowar in Concert Boulevard Retreat.

    Summer Holiday Hikeā€¦

    Guys and Girls come and join us for a fun filled hike with Moulana Dawood Sampson, Moulana Irshaad Sedick and Boeta Armien Hendricks on Wednesday 5th January 2011 at sunrise all the way from Silvermine to Elephants Eye. We meet for Fajr at Masjid al-Munowar (where the car rally started). Males and females will walk apart and all minors will be expected to have their parents sign an indemnity form. All hikers to bring their own water (about 1 litre per person), snacks and lunch. The hike is free but the experience is priceless!
